Inpatient Hospitalization Facilities
We provide a broad range of inpatient hospitalization facilities ranging from simple procedures to complex surgeries.
When a crewman is hospitalized because of an accident or other major health issues, our inpatient case management team takes over.
The patient's case is carefully reviewed and appropriate consulting physicians / surgeons are called in to assist.
The patient care is carefully directed with the goal of achieving the best possible outcome in at the most cost efficient manner possible.
Our team keeps in daily contact with the patient, hospital nursing and medical staff, ship's agent, and owner representatives.
When medically appropriate, we transfer patients from the expensive hospital setting and continue their care on an outpatient basis with visiting nurses and physicians.
Upon discharge, we assist the agent with repatriation and provide medical records, prescriptions, etc. to the patient thus facilitating a smooth transition of care to the patient’s native land.
Additionally, we can also provide full medically escorted repatriation anywhere in the world.
Because of the large volume of patient services we provide to the local hospital system, a generous discount is applied to hospital and physician billings. This is reflected in significantly lower overall costs to the owners of the ship.
Finally, we provide the P & I correspondent, owner, and / or agent with one consolidated billing including all inpatient, outpatient, and associated charges. Reflected in the final billing are all discounts from our providers
